It's been a busy 2015, starting off the year with the UND quilt, then a memory quilt and tree skirt. This was the first memory tree skirt that I had sewn, and if I were looking for something unique, memorable and a keepsake item, this would be it! After those projects, I recovered an entire patio set for a spring refresh. Looks fabulous! Then late spring came which brought prom season...garters and prom dress alterations. With a little break, I entered into a very quick two week project for 12 docorative pillows, ranging from 22" rectangle up to 26" square. They all turned out fabulous and finished the project in under the two week timeframe. If you are interested in any sewing or quilting projects, look at my photos as reference. I do high quality work, in a reasonble timeframe and for a reasonable cost. 952-232-7696 Teresa

2014 Has come but it's not gone yet

Busy year has gone by very quickly, but it's not over. There is still time to create and design a sewing project you would like done. The holidays, spring projects or even that graduate. There could be all those saved up t-shirts or jerseys that you've been saving up for that one day. Now is the time to get your projects done and I'm the one that can help you with those tasks. Give me a call or email me to get started. I'm open to working with you on that special project.

Fall Evenings

The evenings are getting longer and darker, which makes it much easier to spend time inside sewing. Just ocmpleted two quilted, king size, custom pillow shams. They turned out very beautifully. Next, I will turn my attention to another t-shirt quilt for a Senior in high school. That should be a fun quilt to assemble. If you are considering having a quilt or another project completed, contact me for a price and let's get started!

Fireman T-shirt Quilt

The fireman t-shirt quilt is all done and looks fantastic! Save your t-shirts or old clothes to make a keepsake item such as this. This is between a queen and king size, blocks are approx 20"x20" before the strapping and border were added. If you are thinking about having a quilt made, plan ahead as it could take up to 3-4 months from beginning to end to complete the project. I look forward to sewing for you!

Work in Progress

Well they say that good things come in time...that would be true for sewing projects as well. Waiting to finish up a fireman's t-shirt quilt, currently working on another t-shirt quilt (Dave Matthews Band) and getting ready to do a quilt repair. So, keeping a few projects going and hoping to find a few more coming into the fall and winter. It's never to late to start thinking about graduation gifts...dig out all those old, not to be worn again t-shirts and prepare to dazzle your graduate with a keep sake quilt they can take with them when they move out of the house. It does take several months to complete a quilting project, so give me a call if you have something in mind. You could be the next "work in progress".

Cheetah is in the Room

After completing projects for clients I was able to get going on a new bedroom set for my daughter.  With her room recently painted, she selected some browns, tans and a Cheetah print for her new duvet, bed skirt and pillow case.  This is a great new way to freshen up her room and to coordinate all the colors.

Spring has finally sprung

The last couple of months have been very productive and it is nice to finally be in Spring.  The PJ quilt project for a client has just been finished and delivered.  It turned out so nice, better than expected!  It will surely make three little kids happy to see their PJ sewn so nicely into a quilt.

I also had the chance to create a new duvet for my daughter to compliment her new room colors.  The bedskirt will be next along with some pillows and pillow cases to round out the new decorating theme.

And finally, I spent time finishing a custom pillow project for another client to refresh the rooms in her house.  That was a fun project since it incorporated about 6 different types of materials, which were fun to sew.

I'm always looking for new projects and am willng to price them out for you.  Call me directly to discuss your poject details.  612-432-6474

Remembrance of a loved one

These memory quilts were recently finished and will be a wonderful way to honor and remember the loved one lost this past year.  They turned out very nice with all quilt squares made out of articles of clothing and tan fabric used as the binding and backing.

To start the new year off, I'm going to be tackling yet again another type of quilt.  It's a keepsake quilt and will hopefully be fun to make and preserve the childhood of a little girl.

Open for more projects in 2013!!  Never too soon to start planning for a graduation quilt.

Post Christmas

Sitting in a coffee shop with my youngest daughter enjoying the slower time after Christmas.  For those of you I did not see or wish, Happy Holidays!!

Thank you to all of my friends and clients for your business over this past year!  It has been wonderful being able to sew or quilt that special project for you and seeing how you have been pleased with how nice the item has turned out.  Some of the projects have been posted, others will soon be posted.

For me, the projects that I'm most proud of are the ones that have an emotional element to it and that I can be a part of their joy or happiness when it's completed.  It really makes me feel good inside!

If there is anything that I can make for you now or in the future,  feel free to call me at 612-432-6474

Christmas is around the corner

Time has been flying by since Thanks Giving and only a few short weeks away until the holidays are upon us!  The employee bazaar at work last week went very well and I was happy to take on several new projects for my coworkers and friends.  With that being said...there is still time for others to get an order completed before Christmas!

NFL and collegiate pillowcases and blankets have been a huge interest for gift giving this year.  If there are other longer term projects that you are looking to have created, give me a call or email me to discuss the details.

I look forward to creating something special for you.  lanenberg@q.com

Custom Pillows

As promised, I'm including photos of custom pillows that I recently finished for a client.  These were custom sizes, made with velvet for the three pillows with a self welted trim.  They turned out wonderfully and were fun to create as well.  Enjoy.

Sewing Projects

Working on multiple projects and getting close to being done with them.  Watch for those finished project to be posted soon.

Just posted the drapery pics that I completed.  They look great hung over the windows.

There is still time for holiday projects to be sewn if anyone is looking for that personal gift.  If you are considering something more personal, like a memory quilt, this does take a little extra time.  Keep in mind graduation, baby, wedding giftts...these are great ocassions to add those personal touches to a gift.

Welcome Back

Well it's been about a year since I've posted something new and exciting on my blog.  I'm back up and running with some new projects.  Started off the fall season with a nice Viking's fleece blanket, then moved right into drapery hemming & alterations.

This weekend will be devoted to custom pillow covers.  I hope it stays cold outside so I won't feel compelled to leave the sewing machine.

Watch for new posts and photos.  The holidays are just around the corner and there are many great ideas to customized gifts for your family and friends.  I'm looking for new projects.

Memory Quilts Finished

Since my last post, I have now finished all five memory quilts for a family who recently lost their father. It was such a nice way to honor their father's memory by incorporating pieces of his clothing into quilts specifically made for each one of his children. The other unique element in designing these quilts was to find material that linked this person's memory of them to their father. See some of the different panels or blocks within each quilt as examples of this.

Now, looking for my next project. Hopefully, more t-shirt pillows for those die hard Twins fans!

Contact me if you have any special project in mind. Nothing is too big or small.
